Start Spreadin’ the GOOD News…

August 27, 2020

Aren’t you just craving some good news and positivity?  How about finding little pools of hope; or what about ways to keep your peace?  I don’t know about you, but these days I’m striving to be more careful about what I consume…in the news or online, on Facebook or Instagram and any other channel out there.  I’m trying really hard not to succumb to clickbait and outrageous headlines tugging at my fallen curiosity.  I saw a headline yesterday, Melania Trump Redesigns the Rose Garden…And It’s Ugly.  Now, you tell me…how in the world can a garden be ugly? Flowers? Roses?…Ugly?  Really?

I’m reminded of this scripture passage, Philippians 4: 6-8.  (Actually I think I’ll pin this on my bulletin board!)

Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God. Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is gracious, if there is any excellence and if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.

Think about these things… Ruah Woods has something for you to think about…to stoke positivity, fill the well with hope and bring peace in these tumultuous times.  Our in-person fundraising banquet has been transformed into an online offering Theology of the Body BREAKTHROUGH: Discover the Secret of Sharing the Gift of TOB with your Catholic School, Your Family, Your Friends, a positive, hopeful, excellent and free one-hour virtual event.  Mark your calendar for September 28, 2020 from 8:00-9:00 PM EST.

Engage and enjoy…

  • Equipping children with resolve to choose the good despite a seductive culture
  • Firing up and feeling empowered to make a difference in your world
  • Hearing about the winning 3 step strategy to bring TOB to your Catholic Community
  • Getting a peek inside to hear of success stories of schools teaching TOB
  • Boosting the Catholic identity of your parish or school

We are honored to have two of the most articulate, positive and engaging speakers join us for this webcast.  David Bereit, founder and former CEO of Forty Days for Life will be our energetic, special guest host.  We are so pleased to present our keynote speaker, Ryan T. Anderson, The William E. Simon Senior Research Fellow at The Heritage Foundation and Founder & Editor in Chief of Public Discourse.  Joining them will be Tony Maas, founder of Ruah Woods and several teachers with inspiring stories to share the fruits of teaching TOB to their students using ROOTED: K-12 Theology of the Body Curriculum.

I believe our real gift is the hope we can offer parents, teachers, catechists, priests, that there is a solution to the despair that the culture is dealing out. And we need the financial resources to get our message out and start healing the culture school by school, parish by parish, home by home, heart by heart. Our promotion engines are revving up and we will soon release all the information for you.  You will be able to register for free to our virtual event shortly at www.tobbreakthrough.com (we will notify you via email once the registration page is live).

I cannot think of a better way to foster whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is gracious, than learning what Theology of the Body teaches about who we are, why we’re here and how to find authentic happiness.  Adopting ROOTED: K-12 Theology of the Body Curriculum provides students the knowledge that arms them to guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.  Discovering, learning and living TOB gives every human person the peace of God that surpasses all understanding. It is the remedy to heal a hurting world and you are needed…to introduce, those you know and hold dear, to this life-changing message and to help extend the reach of Ruah Woods, bringing this teaching to every Catholic school and parish in the United States of America and beyond.  Consider it as your contribution to cultivating peace, nurturing positivity and filling a little reservoir of hope within your community.
